How to create happiness habits: To a large extent, how happy you are, depends on your outlook on life. That’s because happiness is a self-generated state of mind, not a mood that depends on you having lovely things happen to you. Here’s some incredible news, did you know you can increase the amount of happiness you feel with practice!
Happiness is not something you have is something that you produce.
Try this experiment and deliberately feel happy for 5 or more minutes every day, just for the sake of being happy. Be happy for no reason at all. To do this, remember how you felt on one of the happiest days in your life, then bring about that feeling, see what you saw, feel what you felt, hear what you heard and be there now.
Bring these feelings and sensation into the present moment now. Feeling really good in your mind and your body.
If you have a photograph of that day, you can put it up where you can see it, to elicit those feelings and emotions regularly. With regular practice, you will find it easier to feel happy whenever you want, and with practice and repetition, you will feel happier each time that you practice. By creating this happy experience, you are creating a happiness habit.
You see happiness, is like self-esteem it a personal responsibility. Although others can sometimes enhance your good feelings, ultimately how happy you are is up to you. Start practicing feeling happy by borrowing happiest day memories every day for 30 days and notice how different you feel.
