How you create stress and what to do about it! Stress is the body’s reaction to our perception. To overcome the effects of stress, you have to look at not what is creating the stress, but how you are creating the stress, specifically. Everybody is different and unique, but what we all have in common is the ability to create stress in our work and lives. Everything in the mind-body system is affected by stress and nothing is left out. Each and every one of our body’s systems are affected by stress, and that can also affect our moods, behaviors and emotional reactions. The feedback loop between your mind and your body turns negative, and stress can hit you instantly or grind away at you day after day.

On the other hand, when you expand your awareness, your energy flows freely. You’re more flexible, balanced, and creative. You view yourself and the world with more compassion and understanding. You have more energy and are open to new possibilities. At this level of awareness, you have all the power you could possibly need to create a new reality—a reality of vibrant health and wellbeing.

Building Your Emotional Aptitude

So first you want to do is build a foundation of emotional aptitude that includes skills for releasing and eliminates the mindset habits that cause stress. This is going to help you to self-regulate and be in control of your stress. That’s important because it allows you to begin to control disruptive impulses or knee-jerk reactions to any given situation. When you practice emotional intelligence, it connects you to a better state of mind, so you can attain a higher level of concentrated focus and influence.  When you’re in control of stress it changes the results you produce and this is an empowering habit you can develop.

It’s also important to take stock and to assess whether you are taking the right steps to a lifestyle which will allow you to attain your health goals. The air you breathe, the water you drink, the food you eat and the daily routine and habits you adopt all contribute to your overall health and fitness. Being mindful and living in the present also helps build a critical foundation for your health and wellness.
